76 Argosy Molding (Rub Rail)

Hey Airstreamers!

Question: I am missing 22 feet of the bottom rub rail on my Argosy. It's the backside. I see the part I need on VTS, (comes in 8ft lengths). However, should I get the Butyl Putty Tape to help seal or go with TremPro 635 and just calk it. Or both. This is a huge area where I have found our leaks. I removed the front rub rail to get to the front belly pan and the removed the old tape. Since this is the seam between the camper and the frame, figured it was pretty important to get right.

this is the rubrail btw
