1974 Argosy exterior brown molding

I'm a new Argosy owner. Needs replacement trim on exterior side. Looks like brown molding. Vinyl. Anybody know where to get a roll?

Today, Argosy orange insert molding is available from the parts department of any Airstream dealer or Service Center. The Sizes include:
I wasn't aware that the earlier models utilized brown insert material as I have only seen the Orange (other than the 1979 colors that coordinated with the interior color scheme) on the first generation trailers that I have encountered. The insert material is also offered in Airstream Blue as well as black that was utilized on the motorhomes according to my notes.

Good luck with your Argosy!

Kevin

Patty,
Welcome to the forums and to Argosy owenership.
We all love pictures. Would love to see some of your Argosy.

I would check either inlandrv.com or vintagetrailersupply.com

Tim

Dear patty,
my argosy has been repainted tan and white and i found matching tan trim at my local rv supply, but be careful.
It was too thin and we had to try and glue it on.
After sitting in the arkansas heat, it all fell off.
My rv dealer did find a heaver weight trim that worked great but only came in white or off white.
Good luck with your argosy. We spent many hours remodeling ours and just love it.
If your are having issues with a cracking rear tail light housing, see my post on what i did. I worked great
sincerely,
loren

Your "brown" material was most likely orange originally, and as has been posted, is still available. I have changed mine to blue and find it a much nicer look, although that is a personal opinion.

All of the beltline plastic insert trim used on Airstreams and Argosys is a special Airstream size material though and I don't believe it is available from any other source.

sorry this is such a late reply, but if anyone is still searching for rubrail inserts like I was... I found a chrome option that worked on my '74 24' argosy. It's made for a boat, but looks really good on the argosy depending on the paint job. You can ask them to send you a sample.
