TV size?

Will someone tell me what is the width of the wall (outside refrigerator wall)the TV is attached to on the 25 FB? We're shopping for the TV and want to make sure it fits. Thanks!

Hi Teresa and Randy,
You are going to love your new Airstream!
From the top of the sofa the bulkhead is 30" wide, and from the top of the window it's 25" wide.
After much shopping around, we installed a Toshiba LCD 22"x16" w/a built-in DVD player. Nice and flat, and fits snugly to the bulkhead when strapped in. Keep in mind the bulkhead is probably 3/4" thick and there's a refrigerator right behind it. We used a wall bracket that came with two holes, and drilled a couple of extra ones for stability, but on hindsight that was probably over-doing it. We got a 2" wide strap with velcro attachments that I trimmed to fit. It's screwed to the bulkhead and carries most of the weight while in transit.
We positioned it so the top of the TV is about 1" higher than the top of the window.
Viewing from the galley is perfect, and very comfy. Have fun!
Janet

We found a 19" audiovox with a built in DVD player and it is 12 volt. It came with a 120 volt converter and I had to make up a 12 volt cord but it works and fits nice. I think we paid about 400. at BJ's wholesale. It also has inputs and outputs and I was able to connect it to the stereo for simulated surround sound. Good luck Phil

Janet, it would be really interesting to see some details on that setup. Could you post some photos? Especially your bracket installation. Thanks!

We got the upgrade option on our unit and the Sony fits on an articulating arm. I would look at that option as it can be seen from the kitchen and anywhere in the back of the trailer.

Teresa and Randy.
I have a classic. The wall is about the same size. When I ordered the trailer I had the Audio/Video Upgrade installed. THis meant I got a Sony 19" LCD HDTV. Too small in my opinion to view from the front couch. I move this Tv to the bedroom and installed a 23" LCD HDTV. Much better. Since I am Full time I was much happier with the bigger TV. If it is only for weekend use then a 19 will be fine.

You might also want to check out the new GE flat screens. Really nice picture and the money you save will pay for the expensive arm unit!
