Sorry to hear that you too are seeing the corrosion on your Airstream. Since our trip to Jackson Center last year, we haven't seen any more. Who knows what's happening under the trim they installed. We have one spot where a stone nicked us that I have been treating with ACF-50. So far no signs of filiform.
After 20 days on the road, Daisy is dirty and covered in bugs. I can hardly wait to get her cleaned up again.

We camped in our beloved "Changes in Latitudes" this past weekend and got home Monday evening. It was great to be camping again even though it has only been three weeks since our last long weekend camping over Memorial Day Weekend.
Now I'm primed for a full week next week to celebrate the 4th! Now, if the kids will just get along for that week it'll be great to have the whole week...if they don't, it will be not so great.
Thanks again for sharing your trips with us.

SilverCabin and Minnie's Mate - Thanks for the greetings.
BTW, the Boeshield T-9 spray seems to be keeping the corrosion in check.
I'll be posting an update with photos later this summer.
In the meantime, Happy 4th!
I would be interested in how the Beoshield works and where to get it. I found our first spot on one of our tail lamp bezels this past week. At first I thought it might be bird poop, but it didn't wipe off with a wet sponge and was flush with the surface.
Keep us posted.

We recently did a 975 mile trip from Durango to Lake City, on to La Veta and back to Durango. At 11.2 MPG and an average gas price of $4.25 (Lake City skewed the average at $4.69 a gallon), total fuel costs were $370. Last year, at $3.00 per gallon, the trip would have cost $261. The difference of $109 from '07 to '08 divided by 7 is $15.57. A few more 10 minute meals instead of going out for dinner makes up the difference in a hurry!
As my mother used to say, "they don't have pockets in shrouds so you can't take it with you"!
Thanks to Dwayne and Aaron of Southwest Coaches in Irvine, CA., “Where Dreams Come True”, our end of summer trip-to-the-beach dream eventually did come true, and we went on to enjoy camping at South Carlsbad State Beach and raised the flag to half-mast in honor of 9/11 Remembrance Day.
