Forget the voting issue!!! I can't wait any longer. Our new Safari 25 FB LS SE MFA BS USA is due off the production line at JC tomorrow! A few days of "stuff", and she should be on her way to Airstream of Spokane. Due to business, we won't be able to pick her up for a couple more weeks. How do you cope??? Want to get in at least one weekend before the snow hits the fan. Arghhhhhhhh..h.hh.hh.hh
The ultimate torture ... just wait until you actually have her and then, sometimes, due to work or weather or whatever, you can't go anywhere! The withdrawal symptoms from a bad case of aluminitus are excrutiating. I would say its just soooo sad to see yet another perfectly sane, normally reasonable person get hooked on this stuff and just lose all perspective ... except its not!
Have fun

Congradulations on your new arrival...when it comes that is! I'm sure you will be like the rest of us. Unable to sleep, can't think of anything else for days, unable to eat, looking listlessly at the empty driveway, daydreaming about towing while driving to and from work. You know, the ususal stuff.
Hope you can manage the stress! Good luck and happy camping.

Good on you ! Nice rig, and you may not realize it but you got one more item not listed on the invoice......GREAT SERVICE. Those guys at Spokane are wonderful. Good luck with your rig.
We coped with that situation by going to the websites of the dealerships and finding our model and drooling allover the keyboard while staring at the screen. We also copied some of the pictures and made a screensaver out of them. We were additionally tortured because we went to JC and saw our baby on the production line!
From the weather reports I'm hearing about the Pacific Northwest, I hope you paid the extra cash for the pontoon option - LOL.
Best of luck - I remember the feeling well!
Post pics when you pick it up.

Congratulations on the new baby! We went through the same thing earlier this year when Lucy was ready to pick up at the dealer, but we couldn't get her for two weeks because of other commitments. It was reallt, really tough, but once we got her, we forgot all about it.

We bought our first AS from Spokane Airstream, and there was VERY little to correct overall. Most of it was a small detail thing here or there which I could take care of easily myself. All dealers should prep their coaches as well, IMHO. We lived and traveled for 13 years on a 37' sailboat, so most (not all) RV systems are the same ,or nearly so. At least there's no bright work to keep after!!!......and you can travel in crappy weather in relative comfort!!! I plan to spend a "while" with Nick and crew before hooking up and heading home. As always, thanks for any and all suggestions you might have. One small(and I emphasize SMALL) mind such as mine can't think of everything.
Cheers, Jeff
Jeff-
Congrats on the new 25FB. What a wonderful trailer. We got to see our first one at the Region 1 Rally. Much better seeing one in person than in just photos. Then when we were in JC in Sept. the had tons of them on the line. Great layout and lots and lots of windows.
Enjoy and get out there before the snow. Or not! We were in Plymoth MA for Thanksgiving last year and woke Thanksgiving morning to an inch od snow!
Have fun and good luck!

Hooray, Jeff! Ours goes into production tomorrow and we're ready to explode. I'm so jealous!
How long did yours take? What interior did you get? Queen or twin?
Can I have it?
Look forward to seeing some photos...
Have fun!
Janet
Hi Janet,
How long did it take? The order went in around Sept. 10th, production started Oct 31st. Takes about 8 days, then 2 days of final checks(ahem, that's what JC told me ....cough, cough), then a few days for transportation to get lined up, then a few more days of travel time, then a couple days, give or take at dealer, depending on their work load, then it's ours!!! Simple...no?
We went with the queen, as the 22' CCD was not wide enough for the 2 of us and our kids...2 cats, and we are thin!!! Had them use the charcoal laminate as in the Midnight Sun configuration, but with the lighter fabrics from the Stratus group. Hope it comes out right!! There was a lot of discussion about the factory's ability to mix and match, but I'm sure it all went well. It should look good with the LS SE package. We liked the aluminium look of our CCD, but this should be a little warmer in feeling.
So there you have it. Enjoy your gestation period, it's all part of Aluminitus!!
Cheers, Jeff
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the reply. Love your decor choices! The charcoal laminate is so pretty, and the lightness of the Stratus will look so elegant with it. Creative choices! We also got the Stratus, but with the striped fabric on the seating. (Worried about the lighter color showing the presence of our 3 small dogs...)
So we're entering countdown, and feel reassured that it won't be the eternity it seems. This aluminitus thing very distracting...I even wanted to tell the folks at our polling site about it! Uh oh.
Enjoy,
Janet
