How do I read this propane gauge?
My propane hookup has what looks like a gauge. Any idea how to read it?
Also, why does this forum rotate my images?

Hi.
I've never seen that before but would imagine the location of the top of that black line with the stamped stripe is telling you you're getting low - if it hits that bottom one, you're out of propane. Have you ever seen it with a freshly filled tank? I bet the black line goes to the top of that little slot there....
As to rotation, I think that's an Apple thing?

Try downsizing and cropping your photo. That works for me when using my iPad.

on iphone, keep the big button to the right, the glass display facing you, the volume buttons facing down.... usually will post 'properly'... it's like it wants to 'orient' pics in the 'landscape' format.. Also, resize/crop will remove that setting.

It looks like a mechanical gauge that is connected to a float inside the tank. We used to have something similar on our lift trucks to warn the driver he was running low on fuel.

If that gauge is on the transfer switch between your 2 tanks, and I think that is what it is, it will show you when the tank it is pointing to is empty.
If both tanks are open as the one online empties the indicator will pop up and the second tank will automatically come on line. This gives you ample warning to fill the original tank before running out of propane completely.

Lets see a picture of the top of the regulator to see if there is a gauge there. It looks like that is a switching regulator per the arrow on the face of the knob.
At this point i have no idea what that thing is between the regulator and the trailer. You may have to visit a propane dealer for a quick answer.
Ask if it could be a high flow safety shut off if the diaphragm in the regulator fails.
