almost new owner questions - '68 26' overlander

all,

finally located a 68 26' overlander with excellent outer skin and interior gutted which is what i have been looking for so i can create an interior for my needs.

question regarding parts:

1.it will need the slightly curved window - the one located to the rear of the entry door. are these available?
2. it is missing the furnace vent cover on entry door side - are these available?

thanks in advance

Places like Silver Trailer Supply, Vintage Trailers, Vintage Trailer Supply and such will become your new BFF when looking for the aforementioned items.

I believe Vintage Trailer Supply has duplicated the Corning curved glass. And some folks have used lower cost Lexon instead of glass. Further, Vintage Airstream website has a nifty cross reference for parts and suppliers. I find it helpful when trying to locate a particular part. Airstream Classifieds adn e-bay are also good sources for used parts. Inland RV is another good source

Your gonna love renovating your Overlander. Keep uis posted on your progress, especially major systems.

I may still have the furnace vent cover that I removed from my 68 Trade Wind. Send me a PM after you get the trailer and remind me, I'll look for it.

The window are expensive but pay the price. Inland RV also has the correct glass. I had to replace all the windows in my Trade Wind and I have several tips that will make the job easier and save you time. Again, PM me when you get to that point and I'll be glad to share.

Go 68!!!!

We are the only dealer that has the original Airstream glass, since they have it made for us.

Some others state that their curved windows "don't" exactly fit.
