Has anyone looked under or removed the padded ceiling in an early 2000's Airstream Safari? Is it easier or harder to restore to plain aluminum than the vinyl-coated walls?
It is glued-on foam. You may possibly be able to peel and strip the old glue off, but there will always be marks from it, unless you polish it. I did remove and polish the interior in a customer's trailer, once, and can guarantee you I will never do it again. Or course, it was a 34' trailer, too. I couldn't find a Bambi to experiment on...

The 95 34' I bought last year has a bad case of the white vinyl ceiling coming loose from the aluminum interior. What would you think of painting the aluminum under the vinyl instead of trying to polish it?
