Wash or DryClean

Ok to start out with, I am not your washer, dryer expert, I do not sort for colors or cotton and knits. I'm the throw it in, turn on, and get it done type.
I do feel though that I should take caution with washing my curtains that are in my airstream. So I would like some addvice from the great woman of this forum. Can I wash them in the washer or should I have them dryclean'd,
your expert opinions are truly needed here, thanks.

One more ? how do you get the little plastic dohinkies out of the slide rail?

You may go the cheapo route and hand wash them cold on a gentle cycle...Hang to dry...then bring to your friendly dry cleaner and ask them to press only...this should save you $$$ and they will come out perfecto..

Cold water, gentle or delicate, low spin, hang dry.It worked for mine. I also put a little oxy-clean in along with the detergent.

Davidh,

You have to remove the end caps and the phillips screw that holds it in to get out the curtain slide clips. As for cleaning, My CCD came from the dealer with water-stained curtains. I freaked at the delivery and demanded new curtains, sure that the stains were permanent. The dealer told me to wash them in cold water Wool-ite and to follow the directions. Yeah....sure!

But I tried it and they CAME CLEAN!!!!! Worked on theh cushion covers also!

Mark them

I hope you someway marked where each curtain goes. I just saw this post. When I washed mine I didn't mark them and had a pain in the rear putting them back up.
