Great article. I have used that solution on other items that were vinyl and had fantastic results. Periodic reapplication is a breese and the looks are great.

So any suggestions if the previous owner glued carpet to the vinyl? I have taken down the carpet and there is old dried black glue stuck to the vinyl. I have not done much to it since removing the carpet. Looking at the vinyl, I am thinking I'll have to s****e it off and replace it. Not something I am looking forward to doing. Is the vinyl still available?

The vinyl clad aluminum is no longer available. The last that we had, we sold back to Airstream as they had a special project going. That was several months ago. If you try to take the black material off the vinyl, you will probably ruin the vinyl. However, you could run a test spot using lacquer thinner. Carpeting, or Ozite, looks very nice on the walls and ceilings, if applied properly. Or you can use a foam backed material, such as Airstream uses today.
Incidentially, the future floor wax does a great job over Zolotone as well.
