i would be a bit concerned about the sheet vinyl use around the stove, from the fire standpoint. It may or may not be a problem, but I thought I would raise the issue.

Wall tiles for kitchen

I have been considering the use of a product similar to what I utilized when refurbishing my bungalow. MBOSS is a manufacturer located in Ohio who makes a wide variety of pressed tin ceilings . . . in many finishes . . . most having a PVC coating over the surface for ease of care. They have a rolled sheet product that they refer to as "filler" that intrigued me as a nearly seamless means of creating interest as a backsplash or possibly even as a wall covering in a shower. I can imagine attaching it with a combination of adhesive and pop rivets. The product can be seen at this link.

I realize that it's been quite a while since your post about your aluminum tile in your kitchen area. Wondering, did you remove your upper cabinets before installation? About to get to working on kitchen in my motorhome, and find you upgrade quite nice!
Thanks, Derek

Hey Derek,
Thank you for the kind words The answer is no. There was no need in removing them. By the stove, the tiles tucked under the fan hood. By the sink, the valance is there, so I just went up to the cabinet, and on the side wall, there was enough room again to tuck them under the cabinet since the cabinet is not attached to that side wall. I did take off the window frame first to get them to fit around it nicely.
