Don't want to sound snarky, but have you read your Owner's Manual on that? Not kidding, they usually know exactly the best way to do it, and what kind of products to use.

The owners manual said not to clean them. Mine were so nasty from the PO that I had nothing to loose. I zipped them off the cushions and ran them through the washing machine. (Be sure it's a front loader.) Put them back on the cushions will they are still wet and dry them in the sun.
Please note that this is a risk! If the cushions are old or have seams pulling, they could just fall apart. Colors may also run. I would advise doing this only if it's clean or replace time. You can get new covers made by any good upholstery shop.

Well, if things are that bad, before just washing them at home, I would be tempted to go to a good dry cleaner, and let them try one, just to see...

BCMC27, are there no tags on the cushions with cleaning instructions?

We replaced ours. The PO obviously didn't love the trailer as much as we do ( ;

What about using a steam cleaner? Would that work?

Steam cleaner / carpet cleaner hand wand works just fine on my older Safari ('99), so long and you don't get the cushions too wet. Just did them, in fact.

Upholstery

This is probably too late for you, but maybe it will help others. My upholsterer said to initially dry clean the covers so they "set", then for upkeep it is fine to wash them.
