I am a newbie and I have just purchased a '69 Caravel. I am tring to paint the cabinets in a high gloss white, but they are giving me fits! I sanded the first section and then went at it with a roller. I used a high gloss oil based and ended up with an ugly, runny mess - not at all the modern look I was aiming for! So now I am wondering what would happen if I purchased a high gloss spray paint....Is this a terrible idea? Any thoughts are welcome!
What a bummer your first project is giving you fits! It does seem to work that way a lot however.
How about posting a few photos? I have wood cabinets, but are yours wood? Perhaps they are a plastic or formica material which may require a different kind of paint? I'm sure others will chime in, but you know a picture is worth a thousand words and may help with more detailed advice/help.
