Total Newbie Curtain question

My boyfriend and I just started renovating the interior of our airstream. The previous owner had dismantled any curtain system there was. Currently, there is nothing to install drapes, curtains, shades, or otherwise in the airstream. We have a 1971 Airstream Sovereign. We would appreciate any help with what to do with no curtain hardware. Where do we look vintage or is there somewhere that can make replacement curtain hardware?

Start here...

Hi GHF,

You can try these places:

RV Salvage Parts Airstream Trailer Interiors Restorations Collision Repairs
Vintage Trailer Supply - parts and supplies for vintage travel trailers and campers!
Inland RV Center - The Nations Leading Expert in Airstream Innovations

I am sure there are other shops out there too!

Good Luck and welcome to Airforums,
Chris

Out of Doors Mart has a slightly funky website, but plenty of vintage parts, like their curtain hardware.

Also, for inexpensive (or less expensive) real upholstery and interior design fabrics, you can try Fabric Guru or newtoto.

We used on or the other or both of these (I don't remember now) for covering both dinettes and making the curtains. Pictures are in the blog in my sig line.

JPA Drapes

Try JPA drapes from the link below. They only make drapes/curtains for Airstream and Argosy. As a side note the picture of the drapes shown on the opening page is from my 1976 31' Sovereign taken in 2000 after installing custom JPA drapes. They still look like new today.
