The art on your walls

I have always been curious about the framed or un framed art that came with your Airstream. Do you have pictures? I will take photos of mine abd share them in this thread.

It seems like every used AS we looked at had " art " hung somewhere in it.

Every time we saw that "art" Joyce said "That will have to go."

I'm sure each piece meant something to the OPs who put it there, but new owners will find their own keepsakes to adorn their new to them wanderhomes.

Personally, I'm not big on that sort of thing, and my MH had none of it. But, this AS is really hers, and I'm sure she will find mementos along the way to display.

Our house is full of that kind of stuff. Oh well, it seems to make her happy.

I don't have pictures, but....as with the little house....there are mementos of places we have been to, and loved, on the wall.

Whyever not? You look around, smile, and have happy thoughts.

Memories are a good thing.

Here's what came in my '77, I would never think of removing it.

This just says it all with respect to my camping. Painted on commission by a painter in Jackson Square New Orleans. The boot was carved by a friend.

That is a 1954 Nash, body design aided by Piņin Farina. 1954 was the first year of an ohv straight six developing about 110 hp, that replaced the old, but remarkable flat head six. It had a cavernous interior that mirrored it's bloated exterior and was much desired by some since the front seats folded flat to create a sleeping area for a family of four. The hood ornament, a silver coloured naked lady with wings, was really a last grasp at youth for the suburbia bound buyer of the day. Jim

Thanks for all the information on the vehicle Jim. I will look at this in a different light moving forward.

We have an iPod mini, I was thinking of hanging it on the wall and let it cycle through our camping images while we are out.

One of my winter projects is to try and decorate with adhesive cutouts. I really want to bring out outdoors indoors, and thought about doing this on the refrigerator and the bathroom door to start. I think it would look pretty against the birch cabinets.

Only two things were in our 64 Safari when we bought it. The warranty, it hangs in our house now and the old school painted plaque. After the remodel my wife liked it so much we rehung it.
