Slipcovers for sofa????

We are in the process of redoing our 1999 AS that we just purchased. The first thing was to get the carpet out. Now, our sofa is in good shape, but the color for me is awful. It has purple grapes and fruit with flowers on it. We have had several people give us prices to recover and for labor alone is $600.00 plus, fabric is another $400.00. So, I am thinking of a possible sofa cover and I am wondering if anyone has used one on their AS sofa?

Covers

We have two golden retrievers we travel with and wanted to keep sofa cushions clean.
My wife being creative as usual came up with making covers from sheets she purchased.
They look great and you would not know they did not come with the trailer.
If looking for a cheap alternative for a color change try a cover over your cushions.

we are having somebody local make slipcovers to protect against our canine. I did find an interesting looking place online called slipcovershop.com. I think we will get out material from them

How did the slipcover work since the arms are not part of the sofa? Is it in more than one piece?

Thumbs up

Well it's not a perfect fit as in the website photos, but it does tuck in well around the back and arms. It's been awhile but DW believes it's the queen size she got...best to measure.

I don't tuck very well....

You have the cover to keep the sofa clean.

Then the aux covers to keep them clean, I believe thats all thats needed but it may be gender specific, I could be rong.

Jersey knit sheets work well. I tucked slate blue sheets over sofa in our 86 Sovereign that had awful yellow floral fabric. Used the pillowcases for the arm rests. Result was perfect. Wrapped the drawer face, too, and secured with tape. Held up very well. Cheap fix too. Bed, Bath and Beyond has lots of colorful choices.
