Shower curtain

We have a 1965 Caravel and need a new shower curtain. I contacted Gary Manufacturing to obtain a replacement but the sales representative stated that they do not have a template and that I need to send the old one or draw the template on large paper.

My problem is that I do not have the old one to send nor can I accurately trace a template and accurately indicate where the side snaps and grommets for the top hooksare located. ( I have not been able to ascertain whether the upper track with hooks is original.)

Has anyone had a similiar problem and how have you located a replacement shower curtain?

Keith,
You will have to get the dimensions and size from another 65 Caravel owner, the chances of you finding an original curtain is slim & none, I think you could stand in the shower with a new curtain and see from the inside what coverage your going to need, and for the sides I sew'd in a few velcro strips so it would stick to the wall & keep water in as much as possible, you can sew in the top tabs for the rail as well. I had the old one to copy from when I did mine so it was easier but I think you can do the same without it. Hope this helps.
