Shelves fixations

Hello everybody,

I wish to know how are fixed shelves to the walls please ?

Exist it several manners to fix them ?

It may depend on the model. Most shelves are not directly attached to walls but to cabinets and closets which are then attached to the wall. The exception is the overhead lockers. Anything attached to the walls should be riveted with blind rivets (pop rivets), and if possible to a rib or stringer under the interior skin.

On my '63, almost everything was attached with flat head wood screws thru the cabinets/dividers/lockers and into the aluminum walls. Some of these had wooden plugs covering the screw head to hide it.

It is a real hide-and-seak game to find them all.

These are used

You can use these for wall dividers and shelves. Very hard to apply to a curved wall....the old Airstreams gad them made with aluminum which would bend to wall contours easily. Maybe in France you can find something similar.Bulkhead Moulding

I have to build the interior myself and I think I have to fix each shelf with each near woodwall, yes you're reason, so it's what I thought...

The problem is for the overheads lockers... hummmm... how are fixed these ? have you foto too ?

Screws straight up into the roof thru the top front wooden piece, straight into the wall thru the rear bottom wooden piece.
