Roller Blinds

Hi,

Seems like the tension in one of the roller blinds has lost its spring.

The blind unravels but won't spring back. Is there a way to re-wind the blind spring or fix the blind if the spring is broke or do I have to replace the entire blind.

If replacing the blind is my last option where do I find these.

Thanks,

Hank

roller blind

Have you tried taking the shade down and rolling it tighter by hand then putting it back up?

I had one that did that, I took it to a window covering store and they fixed it for me. As I recall it didn't cost much. If you do need a new blind, that is a place to get a new one also. They custom cut them for you.

We have had the same problem with the un rolling. But the problem was not the roller it was the mounting bracket.

The weight of the front and rear window shades destroyed the mounting bracket (opened them up so they did not hold the flat pin secure)

I found replacement brackets at Wall-Mart that are better design and heaver gage metal.

We have also since replaced the axles and that may also help.

Hooray

Home Depot had a match and cut the width to match my old blind.
