Replacement Curtains

The curtains on my '92 Sovereign are giving up the ghost. Wife sews beautifully, but hates to make curtains. Anybody know a source that we could go to? If that isn't possible, is there a good source for the little plastic tabs that attach with elastic to the material and hold the bottoms and tops to the rails?

There are a number of places to get the plastic tabs.
Vintage Trailer Supply - Vintage travel trailer parts and supplies!
Camper World don't have their sight bookmarked.
And I just made curtains and this young lady was a great help.

J.P.A. Drapes, Inc. [jpadrapes@verizon.net] She makes curtains for A/S

Good Luck

Drapes are available from the Airstream factory thru a few dealers, such as our selves.

Thumbs up SilverThreads

My sister and I can both highly recommend SilverThreads, from right here on the AirForums. Tammy made curtains for my 93 Excella and my sister's 77 Argosy Minuet 6.0 this year. Both sets are beautifully made and fix perfectly. Turnaround was wicked fast too.

Stupid question: How do you remove the clips from the rails? Do you have to unscrew the joints and slide the curtains off? Or is there a secret roll-off process?

Thanks - hamhands.

No super secret process. Just unscrew the end cap thingys from the rails and slide the drapes off.

When it comes to buying new curtains, what is the cost? My 34' Excella needs a new set. Anyone bought any lately?

Draperies--

Somebody asked the cost of replacing the draperies. I started working for P and S TRailer in Helena, Ohio this summer doing his sewing and I have found that the draperies that I do run from between $350 for a medium sized trailer to about $750 for a really monster sized one. I get all of my fabrics from a local closeout fabric dealer, which really keeps my costs down. I am currently working on a 69 GT replacing the cushions (about 6 of them) and the draperies and I think the whole project will run Steve about $750.

Accordion “drapes”

Has anyone ever restrung and accordion drape? One of the curved windows in our 2018 Classic broke and we’re not sure they can be restrung. AS charges and astronomical amount to replace/repair it.

Sew Country Awnings on Etsy. Severely underpriced, excellent quality. We had to send a substantial bonus, and still paid less than other sources.

The second message they sent said they don’t deal with accordion curtains. Back to the drawing board.
