Referral for Curtains

Hi - My husband and I have a 1968 24 ft. Tradewind International. We are traveling to Montana in September and the curtains desperately need to be replaced. I thought of making some myself at a cheap cost but probably would be best to invest in getting curtains made correctly!

Does anyone have any experience with having curtains made or have a referral?

Would appreciate any feedback - thank you.

This is who made ours- J.P.A. Drapes in Northampton, PA 18067. They specialize in Airstream drapes. The quality is fantastic, and they are friendly. Their number is 1800-813-7686, and their email is info@jpadrapes.com- or www.jpadrapes.com

Ditto on JPA. They produced a full set of new curtains for our AS earlier this year.

My wife is just about done with ours. She's even making the bifold doors. I plan on producing some pics. She used to make cuture wedding veils, and has moved on from that to dressmaking, then quilts, and now custom curtains. We've made some serious modifications that make the curtains work much better. For example, using bridal loop at the bottom of the curtains for the area that moves up next to the window, instead of the clips at the bottom of the curtains. It looks much more natural.

Anyway, I was wondering what the going price was for a fully lined, blackout curtain with the modern stainless hooks. She's wondering about making curtains, but doesn't know if it's worth it. All of ours are either new old stock vintage, or something similar.

Thanks,

Rob.

Our curtains were faded, dingy and worn out. We took one to be dry cleaned and it came apart. We then found Arlene Fowler (tel. 270-851-3257) trading as Fowler Interiors and she duplicated the curtains exactly like the originals. She knows Airstream and is a good christian woman that you can depend on! All the fasteners, snaps and pleats were perfectly fitted. We couldn't be happier with her work. Our AS, Maxime, looks 100 % better inside.
