Question: Alternative Brushed Metallic (Aluminum) interior coverings

I have a '71 Safari with the original wood grain walls and textured wall/ceiling coverings. I have seen the way Airstream is using aluminum on the inside of their new trailers and I sorta think it's cool.

My question is has anyone thought of using alternative brushed metallic covering on their walls and the wood grain panels. I have seen everything from adhesive vinyl to wall paper, laminate and even contact paper.

Under the texture of your walls i think that is aluminum that i think could be brushed or polished. I have done stainless steel walls in the bathrooms of two trailers. it can't be polished it's heavy and difficult to work with but is very resistant to scratches and is strong enough you don't have to worry about putting in any folds or creases when you bend it to make the curves.
