That's a great endorsement for using the Krylon with the sink and shower. I've sprayed all my tambours as well, but I used a spray primer followed with a silver metallic spray. I think it turned out great and has held up well for about five years now.

BTW, for walls, cabinets, etc we've had good luck using Sherwin Williams Adhesive Primer, which appears to now be called Extreme Bond Primer. Click image for larger version

The light will not really pass through paint.

Dimly if at all.

Painting my interior is in the near future. All of the skins are out right now. I plan on cleaning them up well before installing them. I've been thinking about what the best approach would be - prime and paint before installing, then touch up; or install then prime and paint. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

All things being equal, I would paint them installed.

Not sure of the light style but the rectangular ones from the '70s are available new for less than $20 each. Also if the shades are yellowed you can use "daylight" LED bulbs and the lights will have a nice white glow.
