paint prep/lead base paints used?

I am restoring a '62 Flying Cloud, changing the use. Was there any lead based used on the original factory interior? I am scraping to clean up, before I steel wool, sand a bit before spraying/paint. Any suggestions for a novice for paint prep?

Reviving this old question because I'm wondering the same. Although with the number of people using marine paint, I'm not sure heavy metals are a top concern for many here

1962 trailers had Zolatone paint - it's an automotive epoxy paint still available today. It's not lead based.

I suggest you get a lead check test. Think you can get them online or at a hardware store. You can also collect a sample and send to an analytical lab. Pretty cheap (likely $40 or so). It is best to check before you work spreads it all over your trailer, your clothes (where you can spread it to your house and children) or your tools. Oh and don't forget they did install asbestos at one point or another.
