Post Paint Colors

Does anyone have and idea of what color blue that is found in the "AIRSTREAM" lettering on the back of the 70's Airstream and also the red, blue and white on the International emblems on each side? Please don't come back and say red, white and blue, I would like to get as close to the real colors as possible. Also, it would be helpful to know the brand or paint numbers. I'm sure someone has done some research on this and I would appreciate your help. Regards, Bigjohn

I've got it on my other computer, but IIRC, Rustoleum Royal Blue is what many people use. DOn't know about the other colors. Somebody will know.

Jim

P.S. I saw a Camper just like yours up in Easly a couple of years ago for sale. Were you the lucky buyer?

Talking Colours

I have a 74 International. I found that Massey Harris Red and Ford Tractor Blue were about as close as you can get. Not sure about the white. I used a anti-rust white you can get at most hardware stores. The "tractor" paints I got from a farm implement dealer. I have enough Ford Tractor Blue to paint 70 Airstreams.

John,

Other than the Rustoleum Royal Blue, I'm not sure there is any standard that most people will agree to. We are planning the same project and decided on the Royal Blue, Sunrise Red and Gloss White, all Rustoleum. I like the Ford Blue also. It's probably just what looks good to you and you think matches the best.

Royal Blue. Most any brand as there appears to be little difference. I have no red on my TradeWind.

No, I bought mine from "camperski" last fall. Where is the one in Easley I might like to take a look at it?

Thanks,

BJ

Of all places, in a Flea Market. It's long gone, now. It was about two years ago when we saw that paticular camper.
