A few weeks ago we ripped out the original '87 upholstery and carted it off the upholsterer. We had the sofa, arms, arm caps, dinette cushions, and wall locker inserts reupholstered. There were also fabric covered cardboard trim pieces behind the sofa, behind the lapboard desk, behind the dinette, and at the head of the mattress that we had recovered. They did an excellent job and this weekend I finished putting the trailer back together.
Here is a picture of the old sofa, I just dig that 80's era color and pattern
. This picture was taken last winter after I had put in new flooring.
This is a picture of the "new" sofa. We went with pleather / ultra-leather because of our dog and our grand-dog
Here is the "head board." Next in line is a modern replacement for the orignal '87 mattress before it causes permanent damage to our spines.
And the piece behind the desk.
Here is one of the wall locker end caps.
I couldn't get good pictures of the trim pieced behind the sofa or behind the dinette, but they are covered with the same fabric as seen on the headboard and behind the desk.
Another small project is to find a replacement for a lovely glass door panel from the upper cabinet in the living room. I am thinking a leaded glass or frosted glass panel. Anything has got to be better than looking at this
