New cushions for the bedroom couch. I changed the sizes to better fit me. Instead of 2 20" cushions and a 10" bolster I had them make one cushion 35" and the other one 20".Hoping to get another 5" of bed . That didn't work out to well. Just because the bed will pull out that far doesn't mean it is a good idea. So am taking the 20" back and having it cut down 5".
Still able to sleep on the 35" cushion so nice to have new foam . No aches when I get up .

Looks nice. What thickness and weight foam did you use? I'm getting ready to do both of mine and I'm not surewhat would work best. It looks like I have the same plans for getting rid of that third piece, and I actually was going to go with the first measurements that you mentioned. thanks for testing it for me. Did you make your own cushion covers?

Hi Mike.
I used 5" thickness and the firmest foam the shop had.And it is really firm. I like it but I don't think a lot of people would.No I did not do the covers I had an upholstery shop do it . Order the foam the material and the sewing.It was about $150 more than if I had done everything.
I was kind of bummed I didn't get the extra 5" but it works out ok and I don't have to sleep in the crack anymore.

We used 5 inch foam from JoAnne's (check for coupons) and we carry around a 2 inch foam mattress topper for our gaucho. The topper helps keep your arms and legs from getting numb and it keeps you out of the cracks!!

I just had new foam put in my couch cushions this week and I am loving it. Probably the best money I've spent on my Airstream thus far due to my bad back and boney back side...

Put the shape back into my couch as well and since I sleep on it every night (despite having a queen sized bed in the back) I no longer wake up feeling like I was run over by an Airstream instead of having slept in one!

I love the crisp lines of your sofa, and the new foam really fills them out. Well done.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. That was an unexpected bonus. I didn't realize that the couch had lost so much shape but seeing it brought back to it original form was great. I hated to cover it up but I fulltime with two dogs and I don't want them dirtying up the upholstery and shedding all over it so the 60X80 Harley-Davidson blanket went back on right after I took this photo...

can completely understand about the dogs... add two children to the mix and that's why I did our gaucho covers in denim!

Know what you mean.I spent half an hour looking for just the right material .But it's always covered up because of the dogs .3 of them.

Here are pics from cut down to 15" they look and fit better. I have found that I don' t pull out the bed or use the back cushion .since the bottom one is 35" that is plenty for me to sleep on. Will go ahead and use back cushion for couch .
