Using the Oxiclean most of the trailer came out nice and clean. The only problem area was the area above the head of the bed. 8 years of greasy heads rubbing against it has taken its toll. Going to give that area another going over tomorrow. Still very happy with how it all turned out. The other day I gave the vinyl roof a good cleaning with Simple Green. It came out looking good as new. Fortunately according to the original/previous owner no one has ever smoked in the trailer.

For all that residue to be there they had to have cooked or used the propane furnace a lot.
Your trailer doesn't have a headboard? The headboard gets stained/greasy, too. That's really why I bought the Resolve.
Try to never kill a bug on the mouse fur and squish his greasy guts into it. That's hard to clean, too- lots of protein-

I just noticed our TAC numbers are 1 number away. I wonder if there are more than 10 of us yet.

TAC "current members" show 12 of us hardy souls on the list.

We have some serious (17 years worth of) dust and dirt on our newly acquired 98 Excella 1000. Thanks for the tips...we'll try all of the above until we find something that works. We hate to remove the fur and replace it with wallpaper for fear we'll lose some noise and temperature insulation.

That wall fuzz is called ozite at the factory.

From what I have been able to discover, the 2014 model year Classics were the last ones with this wall covering. We sure like ours on cold nights when we roll over and touch the wall in our sleep.

I've got a Bissel Green Machine. Anyone use it to clean the mouse fur?

I have the SpotClean Pro 3624. I've used it to clean some pretty grungy mouse fur and it's done and excellent job.

Yes..just for the suction of the cleaning solution.... no "agitator" beater/brush bar.... I sprayed the cleaning solution with hand sprayed to control water volume, wet, wiggle a stiff brush on the fur to help loosen dirt, vacuum.

Once the water being vacuumed is clear, switch to plain water (distilled is best) and repeat process so there is little or no soap remaining..

Leave windows open till all dry. Time will vary.. the more water you don't vacuum, the longer to dry... if humid, time varies, too.

I wouldn't put household carpet soap on walls...or floor of my AS. PO did and it was a mess... seems the doorway and seating areas scrub a lot of shoe soles very well... YMWV

I've been looking at tips for cleaning the mouse fir in my '99. Since this is the more recent thread on this issue, I thought I would post some info on cleaning as outlined by the manufacturer, Hytex. The product (as mentioned earlier in the thread) is Ozite Rib. Here is a pdf from Hytex FWIW . If you read it, it seems that it can be attacked rather aggressively. Of course, you want to be careful not to use anything that might loosen the glue that holds it to the wall.

I currently have my sofa (and end units) along with my microwave cabinet/pantry, out getting re-upholstered (using Ultrafabrics Brisa , Golden color 533-3867 - as I understand it, this is a fabric and color that Airstream has used FYI).

With the pieces out I can really see the dirt. Hence the search for cleaning tips.
