Mini Blinds - Privacy - A Solution

We love the mini blinds in our 2014 FC and figured out a way to get the privacy that fits our needs.

It's a thin piece of wood we found at Hobby Lobby; cut slots for the window openers and it gently holds the blinds against the window screen.

When not in use they are safely placed under a cushion.

We might leave the wood a natural color; paint them or attach decals of places we've been…thinking, thinking, thinking.

What a good idea. I'm going to test that on mine!

Excellent... I wonder how well something like that might work to increase privacy with the OceanAir shades that gap at the curve of the wall?

Very good modification. We like the mini blinds very much for their ability to control light and visibility, as well as the style match to the aluminum interior. Never have been concerned about the little opening to the side. Might use it in the bedroom though.

That is a fantastic idea. I'm sure I mooned the neighbors while camping last night.

Mini Blinds - Privacy - A Solution

When we got our 2013 FC it was full of those nice wonderful aluminum blinds. They weren't so bad in the dining area but in the bedroom with a queen bed, every time I'd step back in there I hung my fanny on the darn things and they were a pain in the butt for privacy or lack of I should say. Also those blinds don't do much for making it cooler in the summer or warmer in the winter so I'm going to have to say that Carey at www.airdrapes.com is the go-to gal for curtains!!! After we purchased all the tracks and hardware from airstream, we have the cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter thing happening very nicely. And their private too!
