Left over interior vinyl glue

After years of neglect(read non use due to time) the wife and I have decided to break out the Airstream and begin restoring and refurbishing it to its former glory... just not so 1980's.

We are starting to remove the vinyl on the walls and gut the interior. The removal of the old walls, cabinetry and appliances was easy... the vinyl not as much. Its all but gone now but the glue on some panels remains stubborn and steadfast to the wall. We were able to use paint stripper as suggested by so many followed up by more stripper and then goof off pro.

With the few panels there is a pattern of glue that will just not budge. I have tried denatured alcohol, acetone, mineral spirits, heat gun, and even a grinder with a wool wheel attached. (not all at the same time btw.)

Has anyone encountered this issue? I am starting to think its etched in to the metal?

I am having the same issue on the certain panels. Did you get any solution to the problem? Did anyone reply?
