Hello All!
Finally getting around to working on some interior components of my '78 Argosy, and I am curious about the window casing (not sure of the proper name) over my kitchen sink, shown in the photos below. It appears to be there merely to support a blind / shade, and it is pretty heavily cracked (see photo) in the upper portions.
My question is: can I remove it entirely and mount the window screen/frame directly to the wall behind, or does it serve some other structural or otherwise important function I do not know about?
