So I installed a new stereo, new speakers, and converted a garbage bound home theater subwoofer into an under bench Sub on 12v. I also spent the extra $9 for a LED controller that listens to the music and will control the lights. The parts are from Amazon.com and I spent about $100 on everything. Four 16ft. strips of RGB LEDs, a mass of connectors, 4 strand color coded wire, and about 75 tiny little soldered joints and wire connections. Its surely a DIY project, but so cool! All that light uses about 36 watts of energy.

Check out the youtube video I made when I finally got everything wired up at 2am in the morning last week:

We ordered custom made cushions about 4 weeks ago, and they should be done this week sometime for our test trip this weekend.

Thanks for all the comments.

My original plan was just to add some LED accent lighting. After spending too much time looking at all the cool stuff you can do with new lights, and how cheap they are now. I only spent about $20 more to have RGB lights, and a controller that listens to the music.

This is all you need to get started. This and a roll of 5050 RGB LED lights.

Picked up the cushions today. Super excited. They're perfect.
I removed the bottom rail for the curtains, and it's even better. The track system they use is not ideal. Some snaps or velcro will work better anyway.

Now all I need to do is build a table for the middle.

This pic looks like the fabric is got some blue in it, but it's more of a concrete/dark grey material. When we paint out all the cabinets, we'll paint the bench too. It's going to be a dark grey color too. Yes, we're painting out all the wood in the trailer.

Your remodel is very nice. My only question is what will you do about a table?
We have an '07 FB w a dinette at the rear. We have lowered the table and situated the cushions to make a huge lounge. Considering cutting down the table to make a J lounge. Testing this configuration now to see how we like it.
Only just don't know what to do about a table.

Not sure exactly what we're going to do, but this is the plan so far:
- table is the size of the hole up front with rounded 6-8" radius corners.
- I'm going to use 1-1/2" Alum angle under the front trim of the bench to support the edges of the table on 3 sides.
- I have an old barber chair in storage that I'm going to see if I can cannibalize the stand portion to raise/lower the table in place without screwing it to the floor. It's nice and stout.
- I really like the Charcoal Boomerang Formica, but we own this with another couple, so I need to see if everyone else likes that idea.
- Some sort of aluminum trim to go around the edge. I like the 50's diner style T-Nose stuff, but we're not going with a 50's motif, so again, I need to get the input from the rest of the group to see what everyone likes.

Another goal of the table is to make it stowable. So there's no table at all.

I just want it all.

Big Fan

This is exactly what we want to do our 1968, the upfront bed and seating are too small!

LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I like this table base, but I think we'd have to take the table outside to use the lounge "table free". I think anything that could be taken apart wouldn't be stable enough.
I'm still looking for ideas and/or products that will work.
