Is This Right? Drapery Track

Does anyone know if this looks correct? We removed the track for the drapes, had new drapes made and then re-installed the track and I just don't think where the two pieces of track meet look correct, I can't recall what it looked like before. This is a 1991 Excella, can someone look at theirs and post a picture showing how this looks on their trailer? This is the rear end window.

It looks close. I'd probably wait until I put the curtains on the tracks before placing those screws, it makes it easier to the tabs to slide into the track. Obviously the tracks would be attached to the standoff, not held out by screws.

Sorry - the curtains/drapes are already back in, just opened up and not showing in this picture, this just didn't look right but after all of the things we have taken out and put back in, I just can't remember.

They should meet each other, and be against the standoff.

Matt,
You're close. Here are some pictures of the bedroom curtain track in our '87.

You can see that there is a channel on the back of the curtain track and on the stand-off that is attached to the wall that mate up. The way I put ours back together after washing our curtains is to remove the wall stand-off and slide it all the way on to either side of the curtain track channel, then put the other curtain track back into position butted up against the other track, and lastly slide the wall stand-off mounting piece over so that it captures both of the tracks and screw the stand-off to the wall.

The two screws in our curtain tracks are way smaller than what you are using. I think they are #6 or #8 by 1/2" screws.

The first picture is a general overview with a gratuitous shot of the backside of our Airforums decal. The other two are close ups looking from the top and the bottom to show how the wall stand-off and curtain tracks fit together.

Carl - you are awesome!! Thank you for the pictures and explanation; this is exactly what I needed. I just knew from looking at how my track looks now that it didn't look that "odd" before. I'll take some time this weekend to get it looking right.

Nice to see where you put your Airforums sticker, I have mine sitting at home and have been waiting to put them on both the Airstream and my truck. I never can get over how valuable this site/forum is. A bunch of great information and even “greater” people such as yourself and so many others.

Matt,
Aw shucks. I'm just glad to be able to contribute and put back a little of what I've gotten from this site and all the contributors.

Now let's get out there and get camping.
