Interior walls

So far you folks have always helped me so here goes another one.

I am not sure what to do about the interior finish of my unit. Right now the interior is gutted and I have put new sub flooring in so its a good time to do something with the walls.

I thought of fabric but too hard, wallpaper but the rivets in the way. Down to painting but not sure if I should paint and not sure how to go about it. Do I strip the walls and if so how. Do I paint over the vinyl and if so how do I prepare the survace and what type of paint.

I looked at some past threads and found reference to Porter 184WB primer stain block but don't know what it is or where to find it. The post says you can paint over it with latex. Also thought of striping it and leaving the aluminum. Polish it up a bit but not sure if that would work.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
