I think your after what is called "insert nosing".

For whatever reason, the backside dimensions of it were slightly changed to be a little larger than original.

We found that if we "shave" some of the backside of the square corners off, that it then easily slides into place.

We made a special "shaving jig" just for that purpose, so that every foot of it is now shaved.

Our part number for the modified insert nosing is 71411.

As a vendor,we are not allowed to quote prices on this forums, on anything that we sell.

If we don't sell it, different story.

Are you talking about the entire liner piece? So far, you have been told about the plastic trim for replacing the component. Do you have the nose abs headliner out or are you looking to repair in place?

I have that piece from my salvage unit. It may be brttle too, but I believe it can be restored, or used as a mold to make a new fiberglass unit. If you have it removed, have you tried an epoxy/fiberglass cloth patch on the top (hidden) side? Mine has stress splits at the rivets, otherwise solid. I can send pics to see if it is the same piece. Mine is from the '79 Argosy, but I believe it is the same.

Sorry I did not get back to you ,What actually happened is I tried to fix two large splits from when a tree came down on roof. I made a batch of basically plastic glue (melted abs plastic and used aluminum screen as patch) the glue was to liguid and melted the plastic bad till some holes showed up I need a new nose piece .

OK, now we are on the same page.

Please be advised that if the plastic has become brittle, no amount of patching is going to correct it.

You might consider getting a replacment headliner, from a salvaged coach someplace.

I'm not sure that a new one is available.

Andy

I know there are a few folks on this forum who completely repaired their front endcap by encasing the entire thing in fiberglass tape, front and back. Wish I remembered their names but I don't sorry. Try searching "front endcap repair."
