How to remove mould on carpet walls
Can anyone tell me how to remove what I think is mould on my carpet walls of my 1998 Safari Airstream? I am assuming it is mould.

Is it mold or the dreaded aluminum dust where rivets hit back of carpet? We have some on back wall near head of corner bed. Have wondered if carpet shampoo or woolite would work?

Thanks for the reply, I will try a carpet shampoo in one spot and a mould remover in another. Because I also have it on the wall near the table. I just thought because it was close to the head where someone may sleep that it is from the moist air. If it is mould has anyone used anything that I can use? I am in Canada and can not get everything that is available in the United States. Thanks.

You can use Clorox. We did in hand sprayer. Apply over several days. Dampen and let it wick in the solution. We used 1jigger of Clorox to a quart of water.

This worked well for us. It has been almost two years since and all is good.

Try Borax, in the laundry section. It is suppose to be better than bleach.

Also use ammonia free foaming window cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Works great on carpet walls

When I had a car flooded by a hurricane, while the carpet was still wet I added Pine Sol and let it soak in. Not only did it kill the mold, but it killed the mold smell, too.

Just an update: Solved the leaky window problem that caused the mold. Used a mold cleaner and then steam cleaned. All is excellent now! Thanks everyone for your help!

Mold and nasty dirt removal.
Bleach and some dish soap in some warm water.

We have used oxyclean on the "mouse fur" walls in our trailer to remove some stains from a previous water leak from one the the windows and it seemed to do the trick in that case.
