How to remove drapes? and wall panel?

I want to take the drapes out but save the OEM tracks. How do I remove the old and install the new? How do I remove this upholstered wall panel?

I'm thinking I want new wall panels and new upholstery on the sofa to go with the new drapes and new floor.

This is the top curtain track.

This is the bottom track end. Sorry it's sorta hard to see.

Any tips appreciated, Thanks! Gary

Hey Gary,

On our top tracks we pulled the plastic end caps off and slide the tabs out. On the bottom we removed the end screw and did the same thing.

Ours doesn't have the wall pad so I can;t help you there but I'm sure others can advise.

BTW ours is a 76 Center bath also.

There is usually a screw in the track to keep the guides in, or remove the end cap and the guides will come out. The tracks in the bedroom sometimes need to be patially removed to allow the guides to slip out.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have a go at it.

I got the sofa frame out and that was holding the wall panel on the bottom. The top of the panel uses a real hi-tech fastening system . . . 5 pan head screws painted brown.

Now I found some soft floor by the entry door after I removed the tray storage and folding finger pinch table.

Anybody got a quick link to a floorboard replacement thread?

Thanks, Gary
