Headliner falling off, looking for a fix

I have a 1995 Excella, have noticed the headliner was loose in spots. Then this past Tuesday 1/3 of it fell down in the bedroom.
It appears that the foam has rotted and it is no longer able to hold the vinyl to the skin.

Is their a 'quick & easy' fix for this, or is it time to take it down to the base metal and start over?

So far the tech support from Aistream has suggested spray adhesive. I tried that on a old car years ago, the foam just pulls apart at another layer and you spray again and again....

Thanks for any suggestions?
Maybe a thin carpet? How should I attach it?

The current International AS and the Safaris use a fuzzy, fabric headliner. This is in the parts catalog and should be available from Airstream by the yard. The fabric is lightweight and a single layer that should not separate like the foam.

Mine drooped in one place and I pulled off the trim strip and used 3M spray adhesive to reseat it. It has held well for a year now.

I had one spot and what I did was take a suringe with some plain elmer's glue and very carefully injected some behind the fabric. Held it in place for about 5 minutes and it seems to have held. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between factory and non-factory!
