Gutted Trailer- Wood paneling ideas

We have a gutted 1962 Rv. We are working on adding plumbing, electrical, and subfloors. Now it's time to start thinking about insulation and panels. We would like to do wood panels. Since their aren't any existing panels what is the best way to attach the wood?

I saw an Airstream on E-bay a few years back that a cabinet maker had done with. birdseye maple. I think he use 1/4" plywood on the walls and solid maple on the window trim and other details. It was stunning! I don't know how he did it but it sure looked nice.

I used 1/4" birch plywood, My inner skins were in place though, which allowed me to screw the wood to the walls at wherever the joints fell.

However, the side plywood on the walls is MOSTLY held in via the curve in the wood wanting to straighten out as it is butted against a stop at the roof and pushed in at the floor.
