Front window sill finishing question

This is our 75 Argosy and I have seen many pics of finished campers but just can't see what the window sills look like, so I have nothing to compare this to. It look like something like trim is missing and there are ragged aluminum edges that I don't think Airstream would have left like that when they sold it.
Obviously I need to clean and reseal the window but what about the 'sill'?

J trim

The windows have a vinyl J Trim sold in 12' lengths, 7.95 each. Get original looking type on vintage trailer supply, but saw different style, I think, on inland rv.

I was expecting something that covered more of the sill but I will search for that piece.
Thanks
