Front Gaucho Pattern Needed for '68 Overlander

I'm planning to recover the gaucho in our '68 Overlander.

Has anyone got a pattern or dimensions I can use as a template for the project?

The trailer is quite far away from where I am currently located, measuring it wont happen for a month or so. I'd like to get cracking on with a newly acquired sewing machine.

Thank you

Yomster

Front Couch

My niece has mine right now - 5 hours away in NC. I'll ask her to give me some numbers for you.

Here's your numbers for the couch

Couch Bottom

6" Thick
73" Length
21 1/2" Width

*overall shape is a rectangle

Couch Back

6" Thick
73" Length
15" Wide

*front facing fabric is 15" and has a tapper down to 12" in the back. The top edge appears to have the tapered edge, not the bottom

*The Couch Back and Couch Bottom are attached to allow for the unit to lay flat for a bed.

"Hidden" Insert

6" Thick
73" Length
13" Width at the mid-point of the cushion

*This piece has a curved edge that needs to be matched to the contour of your trailer.

Also the original pieces had plywood in them. We are opting not to reinstall the plywood.
Hope this helps... Pat

Boy! This really helped me, too! Thanks loads. How is your gaucho without the plywood? I'm thinking of the same thing...

Sorry, we went back and added the plywood to the upright back and the short piece used when made into a bed. After remaking the gaucho, it is still not worth sitting on for a long time...

Glad the measurements helped.

Oh. That's too bad. Even with the 6" foam. Hmm. Thanks, Pat.

Anyone with a solution that works and they are happy with. Pictures of the finished product great or better yet the construction. I am sure a lot of people would benefit.

Thanks Tony
