Floor length curtains ?

Hi, I am in the process of renovating the interior of my 1975 31' Excella and I have toying with idea of replacing the curtains with floor length insulating type.
I am hoping that it might help keep the trailer warmer in the winter.
I want to use to use the original locations, but I will have to use new curtain rods. Has anyone done this before? and how did it look?
Thanks
Darrell
