Extending the sofa on a 2005 Safari 25' FB

I am purchasing a used 2005 Safari 25' FB. The sofa on newer models pulls out to make the bed/sofa wider. The AS I am buying does not have this option. I am looking for other ideas on how to achieve a wider bed without going to AS and purchasing the option. Thanks for your help and suggestons!

R U Sure?

I think you should take a minute to take off the upholstered pieces AND look at the underside from the storage cabinet under the couch... and possibly from the furnace cabinet (the front pulls off).

I know they put better slides on the 2006 model, but I think you'll find you can pull it out. I'm not sure but I think they just had wooden slides on the 05, but put heavy duty steel drawer slides on later models. The 05's are pretty flimsy when extended.

BTW, for a single, just taking off the back cushions makes a generous single that's plenty wide.

Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.

Paula, Thanks. I don't get the AS until next week. I'll take a closer look then. I appreciate the insight! Thanks, Mark

Well I found my answer, the pull out is a little hidden compared to the newer models. The sofa does pull out to widen the bed. Support does seem to be an issue. Anyone know where I can find a bracket similar to the one that holds the single leg up on the dinette table that I can use to modify the pull out? Thanks, Mark
