End caps finished - full reno

Just completed the end caps in my renovation of my thirty one foot '79 Sovereign Intl. Time consuming but not too hard. I used 5052 .040 and Olympic rivets. Still have to snip and shave them. But there's time for that later. Now onto the full sheets.

It's laying 90° from the others. used a section of the 4' x 12' sheet that was left over from cutting the narrow strips and the only way it would work was to turn the section.

Flat. Being narrow they do better conforming to the curves. Cleco as each hole is drilled is key. I wound up lining up the short edge on the rib, setting three rivets, and flattening the panel against the 1.5" foam insulation blocks and setting one rivet by the window. The rest of the rivet holes can be drilled without the stress of holding the panel. I predrilled one long and one short side of each like in the 'Trouble' blog. Drill the short side in three spots, the outer two are drilled half inch in from the long edges. That way when you go to set the next panel you only have to pull the cleco and pin both panel corners to the rib 1" total overlap and drill the next two.
