End Cap and Center Piece

I just finished stripping the vinyl from the aluminum walls on the side... much to my dismay... I discovered that the end cap and center were not aluminum... what is it and what would be the best for stripping the nasty paint off of it? Thanks!

My end caps are very delicate (almost egg shell thin) plastic, probably PVC.

I would not put a chemical stripper on them. I sanded them smooth ( finishing with 300 grit) primed them with Zinzer and painted them. Three years, knock on wood, and they still look great.

Do an advanced search on end caps and you will find lots of solutions.

End domes are vacuum formed ABS sheet plastic. Not only are they thin in some areas, but if they are old, they are usually brittle.
