Discoloration Of Door Vinyl

Does anyone know how to remove this type of staining on the interior door panel - vinyl I assume - of an '89 Excella? I've tried various household cleaners as well as WD40 and acetone, in vain. I'm thinking of painting it, but as a last resort . . . it looks like the previous owners had been around!

Geez, who got shot?

What's your best guess on what the stain is? Blood? Wine? Paint? Is it just on the door or on the interior too?

I'd scrubb it, then prime & paint it...or strip the vinyl & polish the door.

What a mess...

Looks like someone doesn't know where the Hawaiian islands are! Have you tried vinegar, Dawn or Myers Counter Cleaner with a Magic Eraser? I've used the latter two with amazing results in my trailer. A little dirt on the floor is to be expected, decades old grime and dinge is completely forbidden in Ohana.

It seems like a combination of environmental factors - sun, oxygen - have turned what once was invisible or barely visible into this discoloration. Scrubbing doesn't faze it. In fact it might have made it worse in the last few years, maybe a chemical reaction. I think paint is the answer.
