There are two problems that may crop up with trying to dye draperies typically found in an Airstrea. First, the lining probably will react to the dye much differently than the face fabric . . . this difference may or may not be obejctionable when viewed from outside the coach. For many colors, you will be asked to process the fabric through a dye-release bath followed by a wash to remove as much of the original color as possible. If the drapes are original -- or even 10 years old or older and have been exposed to ultraviolet energy for much of that time, by the time the dyeing process is complete the fabric is likely to be showing evidence of degradation/breakdown. Trying the dye process on one pair of drapes would identify the probable extent of either problem if all of the drapes are exposed to the same process.
Good luck with your research and project!
