Curtain tracks..What's the hardware used?

hi there
am working on making new curtains/drapes for the '69 TW..here are the tracks..does anyone know what hardware is used to hang them ? I have nothing to go by except for the pieces still hanging..thank you for your help!
(photos are: bottom track, top tracks, and the side windows top and bottom..)
(also, what goes into those pieces from the curtains would be helpful! )

Hi Michelle50,
I believe standard curtain hooks are used on the front window. The side windows use plastic slides that are available at www.vintagetrailersupply.com. You may have to call them with some measurements if you're not sure from the photos on their website.

Curtain Tracks

Hi,
I have a 1968 Globetrotter. They are sew-on curtain tracks that are spaced and sewn onto the curtain and slide in the aluminum tracks. See the Vintageairstream/archives site for numerous examples. Get a few bags from VTS. Happy motoring!

Your Airstream was not built with the drape tracks that you show in your photo.

Someone installed those, after the fact, probably because Airstream used spring loaded drape tabs, in 1969 only, that today cost over $2.00 each.

Most owners upgrade to the drape track that use the "T" and "G" tabs.

Airstream has used the "T" and "G" track for over 35 years, up to and including today's models.

Where do you get these spring loaded drape tabs and what do they look like? I think that may be what I need for our 1969 Tradewind for all the windows except the fron curved windows as it has a gold bar that has a deep track on it.....

Thanks,
Elizabeth Curry

You may wish to upgrade the drape tracks in your 69.

The spring loaded drape tabs for the 69's cost over $2.00 each.

They are only available from Airstream or a dealer.
