Cork for walls

Hi folks:
Has anyone installed cork on any of their walls?
I'd love to hear of your experience; which adhesive did you use?

How did it hold up? Was it useful? (I find they are so thin that a thumbtack doesn't fit into one layer)

Thanks.
Kira
