Cleaning upholstered walls? 2008 Safari
Our interior is light beige and needs cleaning, any tips on what to use? I'm afraid to mess the walls up!! Or ALTERNATIVELY, has anyone tried using fabric paint to change the color of the walls?????

I have successfully used a mild bleach solution in a spray bottle for the "mouse fur" wall covering in my 02 Safari. I spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, and then blot it off with a towel. I have also heard of folks using Oxyclean on their walls. I did test cleaning on the wall in the closet before attempting to clean out in the open cabin.

I called Stanley Steamer. They came to the Airstream and steam cleaned all the walls, ceiling and carpet.

How did it turn out? Did they say if they had ever done an AS before?

I did all my interior walls with 'Method, All Purpose Cleaner' bought at Target....the purple stuff. Amazing results!
It also does a fantastic job on my solid maple kitchen cabinets at my house which are painted white. Nothing else would cut the grease/grime like this stuff. Highly recommend.

Stanley did a good job. They found not, however, get the black aluminum spotting out of the hull liner. I don't know of anything that will. They did clean up everything else real nice.

On the wall fabric, I have had success with Folex and I also had success with Woolite Oxy carpet cleaner. I think the Woolite is slightly better for general cleaning and Folex is better for removing dried food stains. I sprayed about a foot square or just the stain, then brushed aggressively with a stiff bristle brush, then used a wet/dry vacuum cleaner till the surface is almost dry. Though, neither will completely remove the black aluminum stain at rivet heads.
Whatever you choose to use, make sure it does not include solvents that will release the adhesive that holds the materials together.
